What Shirt?
What is a womens motorcycle shirt? It’s a shirt that you wear when you’re on the bike or with biker friends. Simple.
That means it could be any shirt or top, no? Not really. True motorcycle shirts and tops are recognisable as such, usually because they have a logo or motif or style that associates you with a motorcycle.
So, for example, a shirt with a Harley logo or a Ducati logo says something about you and what it says is probably only going to be appreciated by other bikers, so you only wear it when you’re on the bike or with other bikers. Right?
That makes it a special shirt - a motorcycle shirt!
Sometimes the way the shirt is made makes it a motorcycle shirt. Like a long sleeve shirt with slightly longer sleeves so that they still fit when you’re reaching forward to the handlebars. Or they have a little bit extra in the tail, so that the shirt doesn’t ride up when you’re leaning forward.
A womens motorcycle shirt is sometimes a special item that would look out of place elsewhere. Like that really tight little leather number with the cut-off sleeves. You know the one! Or that top with the cut-off (torn off) sleeves and the tassle on the pocket. That’s a womens motorcycle shirt!
